Humans are made to venerate someone or something which symbolizes our basic desires, successes and failures in the universal soul-making process. While the ancients mostly used gods and goddesses, many Americans use celebrities. Those of us who find the attention given to the exploits of these 'celebrated' ordinary human beings silly and pathetic are still a bit fascinated because of our common psycho-spiritual roots. Paris Hilton, like each of us, is graduating from being a self centered brat to a more expanded soul by her mistakes and consequences. She, like countless humans before her, has been designated as our archetypal blueprint for soul-making. Thank you Paris, for displaying the good, the bad and the ugly that is in each of us.
